Hello! Wow have I been a slacker. But I have a pretty good excuse, I think. Here he is. :)

Long story short is I was on bed rest for a few months, then was blessed with my sweet little boy and have had a few minor medical issues that have made keeping up with 5 kids, a husband and just life in general a little tricky. So my poor business took the back burner for a bit. I am still making pendants and I will be happy to take your orders until December 2nd. I know that is short notice, but I am already swamped with the holidays and I am hoping to make time for a somewhat relaxing holiday season with the family... is there even such a thing?

Just to give you a little eye candy I have some football pendants to show.
We love football at my house. These pendants show your team pride in a unique and stylish way.

These pendants were gifts to the Young Women group from my church. Each side had the girls' initial and the other side had a picture of a snail to remind them be slow and steady in their goals. It went along with our theme for that night.

A few changes to announce

Hello! We wanted to inform you all of a few changes going on at Lily Lane.
First, we have moved! The address on the website will be changed shortly, until then go ahead and use the address that is posted. All mail will be forward to us. Having said that, we will be 'pausing' the ordering process for about two weeks. We will start taking orders again on Monday, September 6th. We just need time to get settled and organized. :)
Second, the pricing for custom pendants has been changed to 17.00 per pendant. Any pre-made pendant will be priced at 15.00 a piece. Christmas ornaments will now be 15.00 each as well. These prices are effective immediately.
The last announcement is regarding Christmas orders. All Christmas orders must be submitted NO LATER than November 5th. After that date we will no longer be taking orders so that we may enjoy the holidays with our little families this year. We will re-open after the new year and after the kiddies have gone back to school. :)

For an Amazing Young Lady

I had a friend growing up named Melanie. She and her family lived on the next street over and we played softball together every summer when we were young. She is one of the sweetest people I know and she comes by it honestly. Her whole family is generous, kind and just down right good people. A few years ago her little sister, Natalie, was diagnosed with a rare cancer in her spine. After battling the disease these past few years she has been told to enjoy what time she has left on this earth. At twenty-two years old she has been diagnosed terminal. I had the chance to make and donate these pendants for a silent auction that took place at a benefit concert for Natalie this past Friday. The money is being raised to help fund her last wish, a trip with her whole family. Please read her entire story here. It is a very uplifting story. You can also watch her interview here. I just thought such strength and beauty should be shared.

It's good to be back. Back home, back at Lily Lane and back to CREATING! I've missed it all. Thanks to all of you for being so patient. :)

I have a lot of fun stuff in the works and can't wait to show you what I've been working on, but it'll have to wait for now. As usual, time flew by and before I knew what day it was (really, I don't even remember the days lately) it's time for another fabulous giveaway. Summer is in full swing and the craziness that comes with that is in full swing as well. Because of travels and busy summer schedules we will be taking a summer break this year. We will be taking orders until this Friday, June 11th. All orders received by midnight on the 11th will be shipped by June 16th. We will start taking orders again on Monday, JULY 26th. Watch for all the new and fun stuff (blog, pendants, and web info) in July! And of course we will be participating in a Christmas in July giveaway to kick off our comeback. This is one of the best ideas!! Here's how these sporty pendants work. I made one pendant that says #1 fan (the word 'mimi' surrounds it) on one side and then 'Mimi' on the other. Each of the other three pendants has a picture of one of her Grandchildren in their sports/dance gear so when she goes to one of their games or shows she can wear that particular child's pendant with her own. Talk about showing some serious team pride!

Whew! Did you hear that? That was me giving a HUGE sigh of relief and accomplishment! I'm not too sure there are many mom's out there who WON'T be receiving a custom pendant from Lily Lane and I want to thank you all for that. I just sent out my last 'rush' orders today and now it's back to the regular stuff. I do want to make one quick announcement. *** I will be out of town from May 12th until the 20th. I'm going to pay a much needed visit to my own Mom! Any orders sent and paid for BY SATURDAY will be shipped out on Monday the
11th. Orders received AFTER SATURDAY will be shipped after my return.***
Having said that - what are you all giving those fantastic teachers that have been making those kids of yours so dang smart?? A custom pendant would be the perfect gift! Just remember...BY SATURDAY!!!

These pendants have a very sweet message. The customers Father had just passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. She took photos of the flowers from his funeral and used them on one side of the pendant. On the other she put the phrase "Keep the Faith" because he always ended his e-mails with the letters KTF. She gave a pendant as a gift to each of her sisters and also kept one for herself.

This pendant was a gift for a FIFTIETH wedding anniversary! Congrats to the darling couple! :)

In a addition to the silhouettes of her two children she added the footprints of her son, Jaxon, who passed away the day he was born. In working with this sweet lady I can tell what a special place her little boy holds in her heart. She wanted a way to honor his memory... I hope she likes it.

I am super excited about a few things right now. First, I am loving my new, clean and crisp blog design. Thanks, Erin!
Second, it's almost Valentine's Day! In fifteen days we get to celebrate our LOVE for everyone and anyone we know. Vday is one of my favs, I love all the hearts, glitter and red and pink stuff. It's just such a cute holiday.

I have always been proud to offer these wonderful keepsakes at such affordable prices and I think the price I have come up with will still allow me to do that as well as compensate for the time it takes away from other obligations. I'm sure most of you know about the incredible story of NIE NIE and her husband, "Mr. Nielson". If you haven't yet had the chance to read her blog, you should. Click here to check it out...it will amaze you. They are the epitome of a LOVE STORY and thus the pendant...I hope she likes it. I think she will ;)

I LOVE showing my babies off and this necklace is going to do just that. Aren't they just so cute?

This little cutie is modeling her V-day present a little early. She is so proud because she made the necklace part all by herself! The reverse side has a picture of myself with her and her little sister, who is also getting one for Valentines Day.

After a wonderful Christmas and fun New Year I am back and ready to start taking orders again.
I have to give a huge shout out to Summer Driggs for her amazingness (This is a word from my personal vocab :) Many of you are visiting this humble little blog because you saw it on hers. As I'm sure you all know is has the sweetest heart and I really appreciate the kind words she had for Lily Lane as well as myself. Thank you Summer! You are amazing!
Here's a quick photo of the bracelets I make out of pendants. I just realized I didn't have any pictures of these up here.
Ooops.

You can have up to six pictures on the bracelet as the pendants are all double sided. The bracelet comes completely assembled, beads and clasps are included. (I didn't have the clasps on this one when I took the picture)
The only difference is the beads. I cannot always find the same ones in stock, but you can also make a custom bracelet with any color of beads you would like.
The total for a bracelet is as follows.
3 pendants @ 12.00 each = 36.00
bracelet parts and assembly = 15.00

TOTAL = 51.00

This is a sweet ornament made for a customers friend who lost her baby a couple of months ago. The reverse side has a picture of the family.

This ornament was another one for the same customer, the front has a pictures of her adorable little boy. What a great idea to list a few of the things your child (or you) like, something you did, or places you went during the past year!

A new twist

I got this order last week for a wedding. This bride has a style all her own and I like it! She put these pictures of couple from her family, as well as one with her and her fiance, together to hang from her bridal bouquet.

If you were thinking about ordering for Christmas start sending me your pictures! They are starting to come fast! I will not be working on orders for the first two weeks in November because we will be adding a sweet little one to our family around that time. Just make sure to give yourself, and me, plenty of time!!! Thanks!

A great tradition.

These wonderful girls get together one weekend every year for a much needed girls weekend. Almost every girl lives in a different state, but they make sure to keep their friendships strong through these trips. They always pick a different destination and this year it was Park City, Utah. The pendants are the perfect little souvenir for these getaways.

Here is another example of the layered pendants. This mama has four kiddos so we added the trapezoid shape.

A very good friend passed away a few weeks ago and I made this pendant for his mother. I have been friends with his sister since second grade and their family is like my own family. I didn't even know what to put on the back, nothing seemed to fit. Thus the angel wings. I think they say enough.

Here are a few random pendants I had for orders a few weeks ago, along with the three of my kids. The top one with the pink beads is a bracelet. It turned out so cute! My other favorite is the one of the couple at the bottom (temple on opposite side) It was for the brides bouquet during her wedding. I love this idea and have since gotten a few more orders for these. They also make great bridesmaids gifts!

Here are some examples on the bouquets. (I did not make these ones, but you get the idea.)

Here are my three little ones on a chain. These pendants are thinner than our basic
1x1.5 and 1x1 pendants. This makes the necklace lighter so you are able to layer multiple pendants together. Because of the special glass used, they are 12.00 a piece as opposed to the 10.00 basic pendants.

They make a great accent for any gift. This is a picture of the baby from the ultra sound tied around the baby gift. Love it. These next few pendants are soldered with the wavy edge, a new option at Lily Lane!

Can you even wrap your mind around the fact that the holiday season is just around the corner? Crazy. We make custom 3x3 and 2x2 ornaments as well! The cost is just 12.00 per ornament. Such a great gift idea! And remeber all pendants and ornaments are double sided so you can added any words, phrases or even a second picture (for an additional cost) to opposite side.
